An bizarre video has emerged of a camel on the loose in Stjørdal, Norway on Tuesday morning.

Motorists making their morning commute were surprised to see the enormous bactrian camel walking across a roundabout, holding up traffic.

Photographer Tor Aage Hansen filmed the animal as it stopped to eat grass by the side of the road.

According to local reports, the camel escaped from a nearby circus.

It is not known how or why the animal escaped, but Aage Hansen speculated it ‘felt the grass was greener on the other side of the fence.’
