Royalist Crier proclaims birth of Royal Prince to the world

Royalist Crier Tony Appleton proclaimed the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child, a Royal Prince, on St George's Day, 2018.

Mr Appleton, who is Lord of the Manor of Great Baddow, Essex, appeared at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London soon after the official announcement of the safe birth by Buckingham Palace.

The president of the Guild of International Millennium Town Criers, stood on the steps of the Lindo Wing on the morning of Monday, April 23, 2018, and made his proclaimation in front of an international gathering of reporters, photographers, videographers and well-wishers.
