++CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN LOOPED++ These real-life fairies baffled onlookers when they were seen swarming all over a tree branch.

Hikers spotted the shiny silver ''nymphs'' feasting in the Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeastern Thailand, last Saturday (April 21) at 4pm.

The insects are believed to be Durian Psyllids, a beautiful white fairy-like bug that normally feeds on the underside of leaves.

Rare footage shows them all gathering in one place while they bask in public, unperturbed by passing tourists.

Local tour guide Jatuporn Roongarn, 26, said: ''I didn't know what the insects were at first. They looked like fairies. They were very beautiful. I've never seen them before.

''They're not toxic but they're very fragile. They don't glow in the night like fairies though. It's a little bit weird.

''They were high up on the side of a cliff, you have to go high into the mountains to find them like this.''

The Durian Psyllid - or scientific name Allocarsidara malayensis Crawford - are found in Thailand and feed on the durian fruit.

They have a long, fluffy like tail resembling a chicken's feather's, that sways in the breeze.
