Basking sharks spotted off the coast of Cornwall
Two basking sharks were spotted off of the coast of Falmouth in Cornwall, south-west England last weekend.
According to local reports, this is the first sighting this year, which is later than previous years.
The sharks last real sighting was in August 2013, reports say.
Experts say this is due to the unusually cold weather at the beginning of 2018.
According to the filmer, Hayley Dolton, the basking sharks were five-metres long and seven-metres long respectively.
Dolton is a wildlife photographer and an MSc student at the University of Exeter, where she analyses data on basking sharks.
