This fearless villager in flip-flops caught a King Cobra bare handed - then walked with it wrapped around his shoulders.

Terrified locals raised the alarm after noticing eggs among a crop of bamboo plants in Krabi, Thailand.

Sawan Chaisiri, 32, rummaged through the undergrowth and grasped the wriggling 12ft long beast by its throat.

He was filmed carrying it past locals before proudly displaying it and putting it in a wooden cage to be drive miles away.

Sawan said: ''The cobra weighed about eight kilograms and was about 3.5 metres long.

''I think it had been around for a few weeks because dogs were barking at night time whenever it was near.''
