Adult Adoption - A Stepfather’s Christmas Surprise
My step-father has been in my life since I was two years old. From the very start, he treated me like I was his very own daughter. While working two jobs, he never once missed a softball game, a football game to watch me cheer, homecoming parade, or graduation. For a while, I considered to let him adopt me. On Christmas Eve, at seven o' clock, I asked him to legally become my father at our house in Alabama. I viewed this opportunity as an act of kindness to give back to the person who has stood by me and who has took on the role of being my father for such a long time.
