Indian man lives with 18kg tumour that has cost him his speech
A 46-year-old Indian man has eight massive tumours growing on various parts of his body, including an 18kg (40 lbs) growth that has cost him his speech.
The man, named Palaniswamy, from a village in Dharmapuri District, Tamilnadu, started to notice the tumours growing on his body when he was 12 years old.
His shocked family took him to Salem Government Hospital for treatment, but his condition did not improve.
Unable to travel due to the large growths, his condition has now deteriorated so much he is unable to speak.
Video shows Palaniswamy near his home village with his brother SIvasami, who takes care of him.
The bulbous tumours can be seen on his wrists, arms, and neck.
Slvasmi wraps his brother in a shawl to cover him as they walk away.
He is now undergoing treatment in a local hospital, and doctors are said to be considering future treatments, according to the filmer.
The clip was filmed on April 28.
