Stupid thief fails in attempt to rob jewellery shop
A thief is cooling his heels in prison after he tried to rob a jewellery shop using a pepper spray in New Delhi, India.
He clearly overestimated the power of the pepper spray to temporarily blind the two shopkeepers.
He also chose a shop located on a busy street with lots of people milling around.
CCTV footage shows the thief trying to strike a conversation inside the shop as he puts on a mask, pulls out the weapon and starts spraying.
The shopkeepers though taken in by surprise react fast. While one of them fends off the attacker, the other one rushes out to raise an alarm.
The thief knows that his game is up and tries to flee. But the determined shopkeeper holds on to him till help arrives.
