Burchell’s Starling (Lamprotornis australis) is one of Africa’s spectacular glossy starling species. It lives in open woodland and savanna, and has a restricted distribution within Kruger Park, occurring mainly in the area around Satara Restcamp. This bird was catching and eating small termites on the edge of the road as they emerged after rain.
