MAY 7: Up close with cooling lava in Hawaii's Leilani Estates
A local resident in Hawaii has filmed "glowing lava" on Hawaii's Big Island.
Cracks in the ground have been emitting lava and gas in the Leilani Estates area in recent days.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, to be standing this close to glowing lava," explains the filmer.
The video was captured on May 7.
