A filmer captured the aftermath of last weekend’s Bank Holiday, which left Southend beach in Essex, England, looking more like a landfill.

In the video, Southend beach is seen completely littered with trash on May 7, 2018.

“Look at our lovely seafront tonight … what’s wrong with people,” the filmer Sam Taylor said. “It looks like a field at the end of a festival. It's absolutely disgusting.”

“I feel for the street cleaning team,” she added. “They were hard at work as I ran home. I hope they get it cleared before the tide comes back in.”

This is the state that Southend beach has been left in after a very busy Bank Holiday saw thousands of people visit the seafront.
