These university graduates chose an unconventional mode of transportation for their big day – a single bicycle.

Video filmed on May 6 in Dayton, Ohio, shows the pair of alumni casually pedalling a single bike along a main road near the college campus.

Dressed in full cap and gown, they appear to be holding iced coffees in their hands.

Vahane Costanian, who was attending his cousin's graduation and filmed the scene, told Newsflare: "I was just at University of Dayton graduation and I decided to slip out a little early.

"While I was driving to get onto the highway from Trent Arena to the I-75, I noticed a bicycle and two guys with a cap and gown going underneath the I-75 underpass.

"They were riding back to the arena from it looks like getting coffee or ice cream."

It was Sunday May 6th I was just at University of Dayton graduation and I decided to slip out a little early because I just heard my cousin's name in the business class while I was driving to get onto the highway from Trent Arena to I-75 I noticed a bicycle and two guys with a cap and gown going underneath the I-75 underpass.
