Search parties on a Thai island today step up their hunt for a missing Russian woman who disappeared almost a month ago.

Inna Obukhova, 39, visited holiday resort Koh Samui last month but was last seen on April 21 - with CCTV cameras unable to trace her. One witness said she saw a woman matching blonde haired Inna's description wearing a bikini and looking ''spaced out'' while standing on a beach. But officers have been unable to trace the attractive woman and Inna's father Sergei has now flown in from Russian to help with the search. Sergei has appealed for help from local authorities to find his daughter. He said: ''We're searching as much of the area as possible. I just want some indication or sign of what has happened. I have asked for help from search staff, the local council and residents.''

Footage shows rescue teams scouring forests on the island while a drone covered the skies above Koh Samui - which is just 40 miles from death island Koh Tao where another Russian woman, Valentina Novozhyonova, 23, went missing last February.

Rescue worker Tanongsak Chantramporn, who is conducting the search, said: ''We were informed by hotel staff that Inna was last seen on April 21 standing in front of the hotel before disappearing. The search is made more difficult because the hotel she was staying at does not have CCTV so we do not know what she was last wearing or the exact time she disappeared. We have searched every area nearby and there are no clues. We will continue searching until we can find answers.''

Unmarried Inna is slim and 174cm tall.
