Hundreds of people of Indian descent in the city of Padang West Sumatra Indonesia, following the Festival Tradition Arak Cendana. This sole tradition in Indonesia closes Maulid Sahul Hamid, as a tribute to a Muslim propagator in India. Maulid Sahul Hamid previously started with the tradition of Serak Gula.

People of Indian descent from various regions come to Kampung Kaliang or Indian village in the Old Town of Padang, bringing flowers, sandalwood and a variety of traditional Indian food.

Beginning with prayers together, residents then eat food, then paraded sandalwood around the village. The festival closes by rubbing sandalwood on each other's faces. The atmosphere of intimacy and happiness is seen in this tradition. Apply sandalwood as well as eliminate hostility or resentment among them, as well as release the vows.
