Texas natives Hayley Ellis and her husband were watching their three-year-old son Hayden wearing his training potty seat as a hat, only for it slip over his head and get stuck.

After some confusion and panic, Ellis removed the potty by applying butter to Hayden's head - "a southern mother's home staple" in her words.

Hayden was unhurt, but is now a little more wary of potty seats.

My husband and I were relaxing at home watching our 3 year old son, Hayden play when this hilarious incident took place. He put his training potty seat on his head as if he were wearing a hat, but when it fell down around his shoulders he realized that he couldn’t remove it. Several minutes of hilarioud chaos later, we were able to remove it using butter- a southern mother’s home staple. I’m so glad that I caught this on camera to share the laughs!
