The beautiful pink and grey cockatoo known as the Galah (Eolophus roseicapillus) is widespread throughout the drier parts of Australia and has now invaded coastal plains and cities as clearing has changed the habitat in its favour. These birds pair for life and were part of a flock feeding on the grass in the parkland at Yanchep National Park north of Perth in Western Australia. The male Galah has a dark eye, while the female’s eye is reddish-brown.
