Last Section Of Emley Moor's 2nd Mast Air Lifted Into Place

Air lifting operations to Emley Moor's 2nd mast have now been completed after the 3 section transmitter was put into place this afternoon.
The 2nd mast which has been built so that upgrades and maintenance can take place on the main mast, and will stay in place for 5 years.
The construction of the mast has drawn mass interest on social media and also from spectators at the nearby visitors layby.
Workers can be seen dangling off the structure while fastened to a harness at nearly 1000ft as they
reach out to grab the transmitter sections which are lifted in place using a Super Puma helicopter.
The mast was constructed in just 8 days and 2 days ahead of schedule.
