This video was made during my husband's third deployment to Afghanistan. He has served in the US Army as an Infantry officer for 8 years. As I am wrapping up my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, my husband and I decided after 8 years of marriage we were ready to try to grow our family . We found out I was pregnant right before he left and we praise God that he has chosen us to be the parents of this baby girl, Harlee Darlene. I created a "gender reveal party in a carepackage" (as i like to call it) and send it overseas. It was filled with party decor, snacks (lots of junk) and the cute tiaras etc you saw them wearing as well as the one pink and one blue golf ball. My friend went with me back home to find out the gender and kept it a surprise from me until I found out at the reveal. She passed along the info to my husband's soldier so he could set up the golf ball for my husband during the reveal! Once the carepackage arrived and after we went to the gender reveal ultrasound- they had the party in Afghanistan and they were thankfully able to facetime me in to join! It was just the best getting to share in this precious moment together!!! So thankful I got to be there to see it all happen even if it wasnt in person! The way this guy serves sets him apart- his sacrifical love humbles me. And I cant wait to see him as the father of our daughter!! Excited to do parenthood together and forever grateful that God has entrusted us with such a high calling!
