Moment passenger plane 'intercepted and escorted by fighter jets'
This is moment fighter jets appear to escort a Norwegian passenger plane – being spotted just metres from the wing.
Footage captured on May 19 appears to show the fighter jets in close proximity to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
A passenger on the flight from Singapore to London Gatwick Tony May, filmed the incident as the plane passed over Hungarian airspace.
May says he noticed the jet on the side of the aircraft and brought it to the attention of the steward onboard.
He claims there was no reason given for the jets' arrival but adds: "Once we crossed the border into Slovakia they peeled away."
