This is the terrifying moment an entire house is swept away into a river in Vietnam.

Footage captured on May 21 in Can Tho city shows the moments directly after the occupants of the riverside home rush out into the street at 5 AM.

They had reportedly felt their home shaking and were alarmed by strange sounds coming from the structure.

Another angle shows more of the riverside crumbling and falling into the Hau river.

Landslides reportedly caused the incident, which saw five homes tumble into the fast-flowing river.

It is unknown whether anyone was hurt in the incident, but those who have lost their homes are being sheltered.

According to the witnesses, At about 5 am they heard strange sounds and the house shook. Immediately they ran out of the house. About 20 minutes later, the house shook violently and submerged into the river. Many people were screaming and desperate when they saw their home was destroyed. There were 5 houses destroyed by landslides and the surrounding houses are in a dangerous state. There are big cracks that appear after the landslides. Everyone has been moved to a safe place.
