Boat tour guide rescues bird wrapped in fishing wire
A cool video has emerged of a boat tour guide rescuing a bird wrapped in fishing wire.
The stricken Herring Gull was spotted by tourists on an eco-tour of Delaware Bay near Cape Henlopen, DE, USA late last month.
In the footage, the captain of the tour navigates the boat over to the bird which is retrieved from the water by two guides and carefully cut free from the wire.
Following the rescue the gull was able to swim over to a nearby jetty where it could dry its feathers.
