This is the touching moment a staff sergeant in the US army is reunited with his mother after a six months deployment in Syria.

Anna French was expecting to spend Mothers Day with her daughters when she was surprised by her son Victor after he returned back home from his mission.

In the clip, filmed in Florida, May 13 shows Anna walking into her daughter's house and getting the surprise of her life when she finds her son.

Anna later wrote online: ''It was a long 6 months of lack of communication due to no WiFi and internet service.

''Being a single mom and always playing the role of dad it means a lot to have my boy home again.''
