A car driving in the wrong direction crashed into two lorries on a motorway in Dongguan City in southern China's Guangdong Province.

The CCTV video, filmed on May 24, shows three cars speeding in the wrong direction on a motorway and one of them bumping into two lorries after being crashed at the back by another car.

Then one lorry hits onto central reservation before flipping over in the middle of the road.

According to reports, three cars suddenly turned around and drove in the wrong direction when they were about to drive out of the tollgate.

They drove along the road for around 2km before the accident happened.

A huge pile-up emerged after the accident and car drives ran away.

The traffic was back to normal now and no casualties were reported.

The case was being investigated.
