South African Nick de Wit showcases unique stunts on his custom built KTM SX 350 to Ugandans during a free style motor bike race at Uganda Motorsport Arena at Busiika in Wakiso district. A large number of fans and riders turned up at Busiika. Uganda's team captain, Maxime Van Pee also led a team of nearly 20 Riders who took part in the Mountain Dew sponsored event.
Nick started competing in regional and national motocross events when he was 17 years old. He won regional colours in 2000 and in early 2002 moved across to FMX where he found his niche. In 2002 the first South African FMX Championship was held and Nick won. In 2003 he started riding professionally and since then ‘Nick Nick has dominated the FMX scene in South Africa, winning nearly every contest he entered. In 2004 Nick started competing internationally, and following that he participated in both the 2005 and 2006 Night of the Jumps series in Europe
Today, as part of the FMX4EVER team, the 37 year old Nick de Wit travels around the globe to inspire the public with world-class freestyle motocross. Nick is so busy with FMX demos and training potential riders that he has to be booked months early in advance.
