Sailing across the Sea of the Hebrides, from Coll to Loch Boisdale, on the 29th of May. Along with 4 other crew members, we spotted the oncoming pod of dolphins joining to play with our boat. Within seconds, over 20 Dolphins were swimming alongside our bow, jumping out of the water and blowing water up at us for fun. This continued for a couple of hours, out of which this footage was the clearest, quietist and most convincing capture of the playfulness we experienced.

This video occurs on our second day of Sailing in Northern Scotland through SeaSpray Yachts on our Bavaria 38 yacht: “Jay”.

It perfectly epitomises the unexpected beauty of Northern Scotland, through it’s varied wildlife and magical spontaneity.

What I find most fascinating about this video is that it captures an experience I will likely never have again. To have over 20 Dolphins swimming side by side, jumping and playing for over 2 hours is truly amazing.

Northern Scotland deserves more recognition for the amazing experiences it delivers and this video is testimony to that.
