Widow spider traps & kills a wasp

A False Widow spider captures a wasp in its web, kills it, wraps it up in a cocoon and takes it back to its hole-in-the-wall lair. The wasp can be heard buzzing away in the first part of the clip.

Spread across the southern parts of the UK, the false widow is often mistaken for the more dangerous Black Widow spider. There are reports of False Widows inflicting a nasty bite on humans, but is generally a shy and retiring creature.
