Pupils were terrified after this 12ft long python was found - in the school toilets.

Several students were sent to clean the male and female loos at the Wat Phinitthammasan school in Ang Thong, Thailand, on May 30.

But the youngsters ran out screaming after noticing the serpent curled up under the sinks.

Local pest catchers were called who dragged the deadly reptile outside where children watched in amazement as the men grappled with it.

Teacher Kraiwut Banmon said: ''The children did the right thing to run away. Snakes can be very dangerous if they try to play with them.

''We think that the python entered the school from a pond. It wanted somewhere warm and dry. We will try to prevent snakes from getting into the school again.''

Rescuers released the female python back into the wild several miles away.
