A young foal looked scared of the water at Appleby Horse Fair in Cumbria, England, today.

On a hot day, travellers brought their horses to the River Eden to be washed and cooled.

On a very warm first day of Appleby Horse Fair in Cumbria, the Gypsies and travellers start bringing their horses down to the River Eden to be washed and to cool off by their riders taking them into the deeper water.

Most of the horses seem to enjoy the experience and are excited going into the water, but others are more reluctant to enter the water needing some encouragement.
