This is the shocking moment a tanker ploughs directly into the back of an HGV on a UK A-road.

Dash-cam video filmed on May 8 on the A14 shows the moment the tanker strikes the HGV, sending debris flying across the road.

According to the filmer, the tanker had overtaken his vehicle and was driving at speed before the crash.

The filmer wites: "There was standing traffic ahead.

"I could see this so I came to a controlled stop and put my hazard lights on to warn vehicles behind me.

For whatever reason, the Tanker driver didn’t brake or slow down."

The Tanker driver had overtaken me a minute earlier he was fully loaded and on his limiter(56mph)their was standing traffic ahead (which their always is on this stretch) I could see this so I came to a controlled stop and put my Hazard lights on to warm vehicles behind me,for whatever reason the Tanker driver didn’t brake or slow down
