I am a drummer in a protest street band called the Unpresidented Brass Band, created by Miles Thompson. (I have asked Miles if he would like you to have his email address.) We play at events like this to provide support for resistance to the fascist Trump/Pence supporters who promote hatred and bigotry and seek recruits for their organizations. Our approach is peaceful, we play music to diffuse the tension and promote peaceful resistance. On June 3, 2018 we were playing at a rally organized by Patriot Prayer, a white supremacist hate group that is trying to recruit new members and bring attention to their shameful cause. They speak at these events and incite violence, then claim they are victims of the Antifa group. We recognize that this is how the German Nazis got their start in the 1920s, and we are not willing to let history repeat itself. We played for hours, and at one point the fascists circled around the block in order to sneak up on the Antifa group providing resistance, this is where this video begins. We are not associated with the Antifa protestors - they are a group that invites a fight. We do not support that but we are on the same side of the political coin. Politics makes strange bedfellows. The fight broke out when the fascists doubled back into the crowd after circling the block, they were outnumbered at least 10 to 1, and that is the video you see here. I had a GoPro camera mounted on my helmet (I wear a disco-ball looking helmet in case someone chucks some hard object at my head, I try to look as comical as possible so that it's hard to hate me.) My grandfather fought fascists in the US Navy. I'm doing so with drums instead of bullets.
