A group of fishermen had a once in a lifetime experience with a friendly dolphin off the coast of Egypt.

The footage, captured on May 7 in the Red Sea, shows two men petting and swimming alongside a dolphin.

The filmer writes: ''We were fishing and a group of dolphins appeared.

''One of the dolphins was not shy at all. He came very close and did not have any fear.

''The dolphin let us touch him and he even wanted us to cuddle with him.

''It was [once in] a lifetime experience.''

It is not recommended for humans to touch dolphins in the wild. Illnesses can be passed from dolphins to humans while some people have suffered bites and broken bones.
