The Great Migration at Masai Mara - Live capture of crocodile hunting wildebeest

Buy video

This video was shot during 06 and 16 August 2016 during our family trip to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya. Every year during April to September, millions of wildebeasts, zebras and other animals migrate from the neighbouring Serengeti Game reserve in Tanzania to Masai Mara and back to Serengeti. The migration is so spectacular that it has been considered as one of the natural wonders of the world. During this long, arduous journey, many of the animals die out of fatigue, many fall prey to the predators.

Masai Mara is a heaven for any wildlifer. During our trip we were able to capture all the big five in their natural habitat.

The highlight of this video is the capture of live hunting of a wildebeast calf by a crocodile while crossing the Mara river.
