St. Andrews Links and the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland, is the oldest golf course in the world and known as the "home of golf." Just north of Edinburgh, Scotland, the famous course on the eastern coast of Scotland includes three courses, the Old Course, Jubilee Course, and Castle Course. Many famous golf championships have been held here, including the British Open where the coveted Claret Jug has been presented to the greats of golf. The famous Swilcan Bridge crosses the Swilcan Burn between holes one and eighteen on the Old Course, made famous by a classic photograph taken of Jack Nicklaus thrusting his fist in the air.
