Adorable young elephant struggles to get back up on its feet
An adorable young elephant struggled to get back up on its feet in Kruger National Park in South Africa.
“This video shows a young elephant lying in the sand trying to stand up,” the filmer said. “The manner in which this cute little one wanted to get back up was rather comical and had everyone in laughter.”
Seeing elephants lying down flat on their sides is rare, the filmer explained.
“Young elephants, on the other hand, are not that big in size yet, so they will still attempt to lie down when they do get time to rest,” the filmer said.
“After enjoying time lying flat on its side in the sand, the youngster tried to use momentum to get back up by swinging its legs into the air several times,” the filmer said.
“Eventually, after relentless efforts, the momentum build was enough for the young elephant to finally get back on its feet and was immediately comforted by its mother.”
