Dancing and singing in the mud, at Yasathorn, rocket festival May 2016.
This was taken at the annual Yasathorn, Rocket festival in Thailand, that takes place around the 2nd week of May. This was 2016. The rockets are sent up by various teams, and is a tradition, whose aim is to produce rain. A team also comes from Japan to participate. Afterwards there is a big party and alot of celebrating for the winning teams. Alot of money is gambled on the outcome. The losing teams are supposed to wallow in the mud for punishment.
