Protesters demonstrated inside the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington DC against the Trump administration's immigration policy on June 28.

According to local media, protestors, majority of them women, marched from Freedom Plaza to Capitol Hill to voice their anger at the President's policy which has seen the separation of thousands of children from their parents at the US-Mexico border.

Local media reported that close to 600 people were arrested for unlawful demonstration, with an exact figure yet to be confirmed.

This video, taken by Sue Roman at around 3 pm, shows protesters wearing tin foil blankets similar to those given to immigrant children at border detention facilities.

"Women, power. Women, power," they chanted. "You say women we say power."
