Crumpet shortage due to CO2 crisis
Video shows empty shelves at a supermarket in Derby after a CO2 shortage hit production of Warburton’s crumpets.
The firm has said it is “working hard to keep the product on shop shelves” but it appears the news may have prompted panic buying among crumpet lovers.
