This community police officer stopped traffic in central Nottingham to help a family of ducks across tramlines.

Footage filmed on June 30 on Weekday Cross in the city centre show the CPO guiding the duck and her ducklings using his hat.

After a tram passes, the officer ushers the family – thought to be in search of water on a hot day – across the street, halting traffic at the same time.

A community protection officer in Nottingham was helping guide a duck and her ducklings through the streets of Nottingham to find water in June 2018. He safely helped them cross tram lines and a busy road in the city centre on a hot summer day by halting them before a team came past, and by stopping cars.
