Photojournalist Jonathan Mitchell was surprised when he reviewed a short time lapse film of the Kyle of Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands, for dozens of frames, a UFO appears and then disappears. The UFO was caught on long 30 second exposures and show the aircraft flying seemingly out of nowehere upwards and then disappearing completely.

"I was just testing a new camera and lens combination for astrophotography and was quite surprised to see the UFO on the resulting footage," the photographer said. "I did not see it myself, as it was a cold night and I left the camera in time lapse mode, but I have seen other UFOs in this area that are just a golden light," he added.

"I know a fair bit about avionics and in this part of Scotland aircraft at night are rare and there are no red or green safety lights on this object and it's flight path is distinctly odd," the photographer says.
