Ivan Saratu, a 15-year-old from Toraja, central Indonesia, suffers from Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a condition that has left him partially paralysed in his legs.

The boy walks to and from school every day on his hands, here accompanied by his parents on the way to school.

Ivan has had the condition for eight years, contracting it at the age of seven.

Currently he receives no government assistance to help him travel to and from his school, according to local videographer Jufri Tonapa.

However, his neighbours and parents support him in his day-to-day life.
