Rare footage of volcanic "tornado" spouting up from Fissure 8 captured by Hawaii videographer
A volcanic landspout formed over an active cinder cone at Kilauea volcano's Fissure 8 was spotted on July 3.
The video shows the phenomenon.
According to the filmer, the landspout developed in the area's favorable heat and wind conditions, and was more than 300 feet high.
