GoPro Girandola - Onboard View from Flying Horizontal Firework Wheel
We mounted a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition to a Girandola at the 2014 Pyrotechnics Guild International Convention in Mason City, IA. More info about the annual convention can be found at PGI.org.
A Girandola is a flying horizontal wheel. It uses rocket motors to spin and then fly. We mounted the GoPro on a gyro stabilizer to prevent it from spinning with the bamboo frame.
