This is the shocking moment a Spanish police officer strikes a man carrying a child on his shoulders with a baton following England's World Cup match with Sweden.

Footage filmed in Benidorm of the aftermath of the 2-0 win shows Spanish police officers marching along Gerona street in the Brit tourist hotspot.

As they attempt to clear a crossing next to the Red Lion bar, an officer is seen pushing a man carrying a child on his shoulders before striking the man with a baton.

An officer armed with a shotgun then fires into the air as officers clad in riot gear further strike the onlookers.
