Some 21 European delegates of the Genfest International takes a 30 minute dip in Boracay Island in Central Philippines. President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered Boracay Island close to tourists for six months by declaring it as cesspool.

The resort island is supposedly close to tourists to undergo environmental rehabilitation. However, more than two months after Boracay was closed (on April 26), the national inter-agency task force allowed the delegates to take a dip in Boracay.

According to the Philippine National Police, the delegates were allowed to swim along side their visit with a group of indigenous people in Boracay. Their visit is meant for humanitarian consideration.
