The new United States of America Embassy in Nine Elms - London
The Nine Elms site of the American Embassy in London was opened in January 2018. Designed by Philadelphia architect Kieran Timberlake, the £750-million 12-storey "transparent crystalline cube" building is surrounded by a moat with a pond on the edge of the river Thames. The reflective facade shifts in colour according to the weather and the position of the sun.
