Man nearly falls down 70m shaft exploring disused Cornish tin mine
A man was exploring an abandoned tin mine in Cornwall England when he almost stepped into a 70m deep hole (winze or internal shaft) right in the middle of the floor. The mine was dug over 50 years ago before the days of health and safety so there were no signs or barriers whatsoever. The video also shows mine explorer Tony finding a rusty old ore bucket, an ore chute, a flooded shaft as well as large chambers known as stopes where the ore was actually mined. The mine is not open to the general public for obvious reasons.
