Eyewitness video of a huge blaze at a field in Cambridgeshire that reportedly spread to ten acres earlier this evening (July 21) .

Local media reports that six fire engines were called to the field in Bottisham to deal with the blaze, near the A14.

In the video, a woman can be heard saying: "Oh my god!"

Filmed at approximately 5.30pm, it shows firefighters on the scene and a huge inferno.

"Be careful boys!" the same voice can be heard saying in the video.

Earlier video seen here also shows the blaze in its infancy.

The filmer told Newsflare that blaze took place at a cornfield near Bottisham Village College.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue tweeted: "Crews called to a fire involving standing crop in Bell Road, Bottisham. Please avoid the area. Residents affected by the smoke, please keep doors and windows closed."

Cambridge Fire and Rescue have since brought the fire under control.

The cause of the blaze is unknown.
