A van driver complete with trailer performs a shocking manoeuvre after taking a wrong turn off a motorway junction.

Footage captured on July 21 just off the M40 near Denham shows a van complete with a loaded trailer that has seemingly taken a wrong turn into oncoming traffic.

But instead of turning around, the determined motorist keeps going – forcing aside oncoming traffic before the vehicle can rejoin the right side of the road.

As the driver of the camera vehicle made their way along the A40 onto Denham roundabout to join the M40 westbound a junction 1, they couldn't believe what they were witnessing.

The driver of a Romanian registered van and trailer had managed to stray into the wrong lane. Rather than continue and try to remedy their error at the next motorway junction, they take it upon themselves to do the unthinkable.

They decide to turn left into the opposite carriageway forcing other road users to get out of the way so that they can complete their manoeuvre and carry on driving the wrong way looking for a gap to get back on the correct side.
