This is the queue at Folkestone's Eurotunnel terminal
Holidaymakers were left facing four-hour delays this afternoon (July 26) at the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone, south-east England.
Eurotunnel tweeted that it was experiencing problems with its "onboard air conditioning and high traffic levels.
Video filmed by Andy Walker shows a long queue of cars.
"So hot and overcrowded at Eurotunnel terminal they have set the water hydrants off to keep kids and animals cool, he tweeted.
"There is currently 1h30 mins wait Pre Check-in, and 4h00 wait on site for our Passenger service from Folkestone."
It added: "We anticipate that the delays caused by the excessive heat will continue overnight and likely into tomorrow.
