Tourists on a beach at Weizhou Island in the southern province of Guangxi spotted a twin waterspout formation in the sky on July 26.

This video, a compilation of clips posted to social media, shows the waterspouts extending down to the horizon. Tourists can be heard talking about the formation in the background.

Such twisters are not uncommon and are often formed during major storms, but seeing two at the same time is a rare phenomenon. While these types of twin waterspouts generally are not destructive, they are often accompanied by strong winds.
